Situated on the tropical island of Batam, the Southlinks golf course is an 18-hole Par 72 championship course designed for golfers who love a challenging time on the green. The front nine plays through more elevated land and some holes offer views of the Batam’s coastline Nagoya  City, and the Singapore skyline. The back nine is flatter, with the two best holes being number eight and nine.

Palm Springs Golf & Country Club is the nearest golf course to Singapore. A quick 5-minute ride from Nongsapura Ferry Terminal leads to the clubhouse, which offers breathtaking views of Nongsa beach and the Singapore skyline behind it. The course features three excellent 9-hole layouts – Palm Courses, Resort Course and the Island Course and each of these layouts offer a very different challenge.

Gary Player has designed upwards of 130 projects in 38 countries on five continents. The fact that at one point he named Ria Bintan GC among his top 10 speaks volumes. The Ocean Course was completed in 1998 and is almost two separate experiences. Much of the front nine winds through the Riau jungle providing an intimate, native experience. The Forest Course consists of nine Player-designed holes and exudes more of a parkland feel. Fairways are welcoming but the bunkering can bite (as at most Gary Player courses).
