Basic Information
Situated on the tropical island of Batam, the Southlinks golf course is an 18-hole Par 72 championship course designed for golfers who love a challenging time on the green. It offers breathtaking views of the island’s coastline where you can see Singapore’s spectacular skyline in the north, and the picturesque city of Nagoya in the east. The course was initially designed by Japan’s renowned Mr Hisamitsu Ohnishi, who has an excellent track record that includes several world-class courses in Japan.
The front nine plays through more elevated land and some holes offer views of the Batam’s coastline Nagoya City, and the Singapore skyline. The back nine is flatter, with the two best holes being number eight and nine. The former is a par-3 over water with landscaped rocks surrounding the green. The latter is a long par-4 bisected by a stream around 250 yards from the tee. A par or bogey on the last hole is a good score.
