美浦ゴルフ倶楽部は、世界有数のコース設計家、R.T.ジョーンズ.Jr.が“リスクと報酬”をテーマに造りあげた戦略的チャンピオンコース。コース内高低差が僅か15メートル正確な技術と判断を要求される高い戦略性で、 世界基準のコースとしてＪＧＴＯに認証された提携コース。1998年日本女子プロゴルフ選手権、2003年日本プロゴルフ選手権と、男女のメジャートーナメント開催実績のある数少ないゴルフ場。
丘陵コース。霞ケ浦・筑波山を望むゆるやかな丘陵地で、樹影が色濃く残され随所に林間風のたたずまいを感じとることができる。フェアウェイは広いが、次打のポジションはかなり限定されている。しかも好位置の近くにはハザードやトラブルが用意されていて、ショットの成否で明暗を分けるシーンもしばしば出てくるはず。安全なルートだとグリーンへのアプローチにバンカーや池がきいてくる。大きな池をめぐるアウトコースではスリリングなショットが楽しめる。

Tee off event during Silver week.
My colleague who has the membership invited me to this golf course. In fact, I’m impressed by the quality, the lawn condition is very nice, all of the fairway, rough area, and green are maintained greatly. The facilities at the clubhouse are also luxurious. However, the level of this course itself is challenging, the narrow rough area triggers miss shot and O.B.
56 49, 105… No way, I made the worst score this year. We were lucky to play golf today although the big typhoon came to the Kanto area last night. But all the bunkers became like a pond and it was muddy everywhere at the course. I must plan the return match soon.
