ニッソーカントリークラブは茨城県内でも屈指の難コースとなっている。河川敷にあるカントリークラブであるが、18ホール中、全てのホールにクリークや池が絡んでいるため、テクニックを必要とするコース設計である。コースには、池・バンカー・マウンド・樹木などハザードがたくみ配置され、ゴルファーの実力を素直に反映する攻略が難しいコース設計。河川敷のホールなので風の影響を受けやすく、素直な設計になっているホールでも風向き次第では急に難易度が高くなるため、風をよむゴルフの醍醐味を味わうことができる。3番ホールでは、ティーショットから第2打も池越えと、池越えが続く名物ホール。
ニッソーカントリークラブは西川ホールディングスが保有・運営しているゴルフ場のひとつで、ロッジ風の親しみやすいクラブハウス内には、売店やレストラン・浴室とプレーをサポートしてくれる設備が充実している。山小屋風木造りのレストランでは、料理長が腕を振るった料理を楽しむ事が出来る。

I played here today to recover the jet lag. It’s a dangerous summer day 36 C degree, I thought I was going to get heatstroke today.
Nisso country club is nested beside Tone river, and the course itself is totally flat but the course rate is 73, a little challenging course. Actually the fairway and greens at all holes are surrounded with water hazards, I hesitated to use the longer clubs when I should aim at the green aggressively. However, the most contributor for score making was heavy rough lawn and slow green. The lawn grows up strong.
47 42 89, it’s ok. I believe I did it today even under such hot and humid conditions.
