Basic Information
The course, which was designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest, opened in 2007. With great views of the Temecula Valley, the course was built on the ancestral land of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. And it’s also the home of what’s known as the “Great Oak,” one of the largest indigenous coastal live oak trees in the United States. Golfers must navigate the elevation change and avoid these mature trees, which often frame holes and protect greens. The course tips out at 7,219 yards with a rating of 74.8, but there are four other sets of tees, starting out at 4,940 yards. The no. 1 handicap hole is the longest hole on the course, the 578-yard ninth.
The Journey at Pechanga also has outstanding practice facilities, from its full driving range and short game area and putting greens to its golf academy, operates with 30-percent less grass than the California average of about 120 acres. The water used in irrigating the course is reclaimed and recycled water, much of it from the two lakes at hole 5 and hole 15.

Luxury course at Temecula, this course is in the casino resort and awesome quality course. Staff is very polite and have good hospitality, they carry our golf bag from car and cart completely, no stress. Off-course amenity is also Luxury. Of course, the all of course condition is nice, and it’s fun course layout, super up and down slope, super large water hazards and bunkers, it’s well thought out. Mountain breeze is extremely strong. Ball I hit was pushed out or back… I couldn’t make my driving distance. Total length is also longer than average for black tee ( = blue tee at other course). This is also one of factor to make more challenging at this course.
Play fee is $200 per person even any time slot and day, however cart riding, free drink and range ball are inclusive. I think it’s not so expensive if we can enjoy such luxury golf experience.
