Basic Information
Carlton Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course in the small valley town of Santee, California, located just 20 minutes northeast of downtown San Diego. The 18-hole championship Dye-designed course has golf roots that date back to 1958. However, the course was totally renovated by Perry Dye, son of Paul B. “Pete” Dye, in 1989. Pete Dye became a legend in the field of golf course design and construction and received the 2008 World Golf Hall of Fame lifetime achievement award.
The Carlton Oaks course has six sets of tees, ranging from a modest 5,039 yards to a mind-bending 7,410 yards! The yardage options translate into a thrilling experience for golfers of all abilities. Holes 18 / Par 72 / Length 7090 yards. There are some pot bunkers, large waste areas, mounding, and, on the signature 11th and 12 holes, which sit on opposite sides of a pond, peninsula greens reined in by bulkheads. Locals have dubbed the tough stretch from 10-12 “The Oak Trap”.

Workshop day2 during July 4th. It’s long course at San Diego. Total 6700 yard for blue tee. Course condition is intermediate, normal fairway and rough are maintained well, green condition is also not bad. I think here is not so hard course, O.B. are is not so many. Some water hazards make a little challenging for club choice, in particular, there are large water hazard at No.11 and 12 , there is cross creak in No.18.
47 55 102 bullshit score. Swing wasn’t stabilized. I was frustrated today.
