Among the most popular golf venues in Orange County, Black Gold Golf Club offers a well-conditioned, challenging, and scenic golf course. Arthur Hills designed par 72 layout stretches up to 6,756 challenging yards and incorporates several water features including a stunning waterfall off the 18th green, slight elevation changes, rolling hills, strategic bunkering and the incredible vistas overlooking coastal Orange & Los Angeles Counties, including portions of the Newport Beach Coast and Catalina Island. From the championship tees, Black Gold Golf Club is a par 72 layout playing up to 6,756 yards. All golf carts are equipped with state of the art Global Positioning Yardage (GPS) System. The course features elevated tees, beautiful fairways and water features, strategic bunkering and a wide variety of holes. Golfers can even see parts of the Newport Beach coastline as well as Catalina Island on a clear day. The par-71 course, which opened in 2001, plays 6,756 yards from the tips, but there are four other sets of tees, starting at 4,937 yards. The course is laid out over 219 acres and runs the length of the Vista Del Verde, creating one memorable hole after another. There are a few blind shots, and plenty of rolling topography. The no. 1 handicap hole is the fifth, a 449-yard par 4. The tee shot plays over a native area to a fairly generous fairway, ending at a green with two large bunkers on the left. The course has a nice collection of par 3 holes as well. And the 18th is a very memorable par 5s. It starts with an uphill tee shot to a fairway that's 265 yards to reach from the back tees. From there, most golfers will lay up short of the water to set up a third shot to the green, but big hitters might take it on it two, making it a great risk-reward hole.

Not far from Sylmar, El Cariso Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep El Cariso Golf Course difficult yet friendly, and the staff can offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. El Cariso Golf Course is a 4,493 yard, par 62, 18-hole golf course with three sets of tees, which make it an enjoyable test of skill for players of all abilities. The signature hole is #11 - a short downhill par 3 with beautiful mountain views.

Located in a uniquely picturesque corner of Long Beach, California, El Dorado Park Golf Course features uninterrupted views of lush, stunning landscapes at every turn. Designed by golf legend Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1962, this 6,921-yard, par 72 is home to the prestigious Long Beach Open and incorporates utter serenity with an engaging championship course, complete with immaculate practice facilities, instruction from certified PGA Professionals, and beautiful event venues. Ranked among GolfLink’s Top 100 Golf Courses in 2008 and named Wedding Wire’s Best of 2012. This is one of the City of Long Beach public courses and is probably the best of them. This past year they have done some large renovations and improvements of the course which should make it even better. The greens here are bigger than average and are in good shape. One thing this course has that many area courses don`t have is plenty of grown trees for golf balls to hide behind.

Porter Valley Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course surrounded by the green rolling hills of the Santa Susana Mountains. The 18-hole "De Bell" course at the DeBell Golf Club facility in Burbank, California features 5,633 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 68.8 and it has a slope rating of 114 on Kikuyu grass. Designed by William F. Bell, ASGCA/William H. Johnson, ASGCA/(R) Richard Bigler, the De Bell golf course opened in 1959. DeBell Golf Club features an 18 hole regulation golf course, a 9 hole Par-3 golf course and a 9 hole disc golf course. Par 71, 5,608 yards.

Wood Ranch is an exciting 18 hole regulation course located at the Wood Ranch Golf Club facility in Simi Valley, CA. From the longest tees it presents 6,972 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed by Ted Robinson, ASGCA and opened in 1985. The course rating is 75.2 with a slope rating of 146. Wood Ranch is a private non-equity golf course with a 'Accompanied By Member' guest policy. Wood Ranch Golf Club is managed by American Golf Corporation. 

Recreation Park 18 Golf Course is an enjoyable 18-hole, par 72 golf course that features challenging elevation changes on Kikuyu fairways, and tough bunkers defending Bent and Poa greens. Recreation Park 18 Golf Course is Designed in 1910 by Billy Bell, one of the oldest and most popular courses in Southern California. Stunning course layout with rolling terrain, and forgiving tree-lined fairways, the well-protected greens add a challenging element to this 6,405-yard par 72 course.

The 120 acre, 18-hole public championship course. Montebello Golf Course has a rich history that goes back to 1928, when it was built as an enterprising country club designed by Max Behr, (Golf Course Architect). In 1941 the City of Montebello purchased the course and is now proud of this opportunity to welcome you, the patrons from local and distant communities, to our Montebello Municipal Golf Course.

Rio Hondo Golf Club located in Downey, CA. This city owned golf course is one of the greatest values in the Los Angeles metro area. A number of water features help defend par. Holes 6, 7 and 8 surround a lake. Two other short par 4s, the 12th and 14th feature greens situated by a smaller lake in the northernmost corner of the site. The par-71 layout stretches from 5,103 yards to 6,370 yards. In addition to the four sets of tee markers, the scorecard lists two combo distance options, ensuring that everyone can play from an appropriate distance. While Rio Hondo Golf Club may seem somewhat short, most of the par 4s and three of the five par 3s are quite long. Many players deem the one-shot 14th hole, with its long carry over water, the toughest hole on the course. 

One of the best golf courses in south Los Angeles, championship course was voted Los Angeles County Course of the Year in 2005 and 2020. Lakewood Country Club was designed by William Bell in 1933 and is located next to the Long Beach Airport, easily accessible from the 605, 405 and 5 freeways. Water comes into play on seven of the holes, mainly from its signature man-made Lake Bouton. One of the longer courses in the area at over 7,000 yards back from the back tees, with an abundance of new sand bunkers and several par 3’s that play over 200 yards, the course has limited elevation change and tree-lined fairways.
